Does Tyre Quality Matter?

Tyres are extremely complicated goods. All of the tyres you see in a tyre store may appear to be in good condition. However, just because they seem alike does not imply that they perform the same function. The design of these tyres may differ significantly. At first inspection, the tread pattern of each new tyre may appear convincing. Unfortunately, you can’t see what that construction is made of, what’s underlying the tread pattern, the compounds and materials employed. Every year, a premium manufacturer spends millions of dollars developing a tyre that is ideal for wet, dry, hot, and cold weather.

This guarantees that your tyre will perform as intended in all driving circumstances. In the event of a low-quality tyre, however, this is not the case. It could be OK in dry weather, but it might not be so in rainy weather. This also explains why such tyres are so inexpensive.

The following factors provide premium high-quality tyres an advantage over the competition:

  • Superior Braking- Premium rubber branded tyres provide a lot of traction and are strongly connected to the road surface. As a result, the stopping distance is considerably reduced.
  • Cornering Performance- When cornering, there is a significant difference. Low-quality tyres don’t provide adequate grip and cause the vehicle to slip out of the bend. This is due to their lower capacity to adhere to the road as compared to premium tyres.
  • Rubber of a higher quality.
  • Better overall driving performance and handling.
  • Increased tyre life- The use of high-quality rubber compounds and other polymers, as well as cutting-edge technical technologies in tyre manufacture, results in tyres that last longer.

As a result, pick your tyres carefully. If you’re concerned about the performance of your tyres, visit Smart Mechanics in Bishops Stortford, Stansted, Essex, Hertfordshire to look at some high-quality tyres and seek advice from one of the experts.
