When to replace your brake pads?

There are two vital things that make for a perfect car. The first being that it should take you from Point A to Point B and second is that it should stop whenever you set your foot on the brake pedal which is why  brake pads are counted as one of the most important automotive parts. Brake pads also have the tendency to wear over a period of time because  they create the friction that essentially helps stop your vehicle when they are pressed against the brake disc. In order to ensure your safety on the road, it’s highly imperative to run a proper diagnostics of your car every once in a while. A thorough routine inspection will help determine any damage or wear and team, after which necessary services and repairs can be carried out.

As a car owner, one should always look out for warning signs and act accordingly. Some such signs are listed below:

  1. Longer stopping distance
  2. Squealing and screeching sound when brakes are applied
  3. Vibration when braking
  4. Your Brake Pads Appear To Be Thin.
  5. Indicator Light Comes On

One should not ignore if any of the above signs start to surface. It’s wise to get your vehicle to the car service centre at Stansted and have your vehicle thoroughly inspected. Brakes that functions and operates smoothly is highly imperative to ensure a safe driving experience. Brake pads are crucial components of your car’s braking system and keeping them in optimal working condition is vital for the safety of both you and other drivers around you.
